Damodar Valley Corporation invites ONLINE applications from IT Professionals having Qualifications as mentioned at Para 3 below with 3 to 5 years of experience to fill up the post of Assistant Engineer (Information Technology) (on Probation) through WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the terms and conditions mentioned hereinafter. The selected IT Engineers will be placed in DVC for contract service for a period of 3(three) years, which may be extended upto 5 years as per requirement.

Age: Maximum 30 Years as on 01.01.2012 for Unreserved/General Candidates
Nature of Appointment : On contract service for a period of 3(three) years, extendable upto upto 5 years as per requirement.
Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100 in Pay Band-3 (Grade Pay-Rs.5,650/-)
Qualifying Requirement & Experience:
1.For External Candidates & Internal Candidates(excepting Controllers in DVC)
(A )Full time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engg.) Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science from Recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks (General/OBC)/60% marks (SC/ST) taking average of all the semesters, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular Semester/Year by the Institute /University.
(B) Candidate must have 3 to 5 years experience. The experience will be in any of the following fields:-
i. System design programming using Java.
ii. JSP / Oracle report builder.
iii. Oracle application server.
iv. Oracle database version 10g(preferably on Linux platform), tuning and performance improvement.
v. IT Security and knowledge of latest H/W and System S/W Technology.
2. For Controllers in DVC
(A)Graduate in Science
(B)Five years of working experience as a Assist. Controller in IT Cell of DVC.
N.B. - Candidates at 1 above having requisite skill-set from reputed companies would be given preference.
Job Description:
(i) Analysis, Design, Development, Configuration, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, Support/Maintenance, Performance Evaluation, Enhancement and Updating of IT Systems as per Business requirements of the DVC.
(ii) System Administration and maintenance of database, IT security, Network Infrastructure and Compliance with regulations.
